    The LUNA project is sponsoring the eleventh biannual IEEE workshop on Automatic Speech Recognition and Understanding (ASRU).

    Prague, May 7-8, 2009
    At a press conference during the EU event Research Connection 2009, the LUNA project was presented to an audience of press and TV journalists from 27 EU Member States.

  • ICT 2008
    November 25-27, 2008, Lyon
    LUNA took part in ICT 2008 – Europe's biggest ICT research event, where the multilingual prototypes were demonstrated. The project received a very warm response.

  • LANGUAGES OF KNOWLEDGE: DYNAMICS, FORMS, MODELS
    November 10, 2008, Turin, Italy
    The LUNA project was demonstrated in the exhibition area parallel to the CSI convention entitled: “Languages of knowledge: dynamics, forms, models” on 10th November 2008 in Torino.

  • IIS 2008 Workshop on Spoken Language Understanding and Dialogue Systems
    June 18, 2008, Zakopane, Poland
    The LUNA project organized with the DICIT EU funded project the Workshop on Spoken Language Understanding and Dialogue Systems held at IIS 2008. It was an opportunity to share ideas on problems related to communication with computer systems in natural language and dialogue systems.

  • Luna at ICASSP 2008

    Representatives of the LUNA project attended the 33rd International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP). The ICASSP meeting is the world's largest and most comprehensive technical conference focused on signal processing and its applications.

  • LUNA at DECALOG workshop

    The LUNA project co-organized DECALOG, the workshop on the Semantics and Pragmatics of Dialogue. DECALOG was the 2007 edition of the SEMDIAL series of workshops and was held at the University of Trento in Rovereto (Italy), May 30th - June 1st. It was held in conjunction with the inaugural workshop of the Language, Interaction and Computation Lab from the Center for Mind/Brain Sciences (CiMeC, www.cimec.unitn.it), which was on May 29.

  • LUNA at 3rd Language & Technology Conference: Human Language Technologies as a Challenge For Computer Science And Linguistics

    The Polish partners of the LUNA consortium presented the process of collecting a Polish corpus of spoken dialogs and the accepted annotation schema of this corpus at several levels, from transcription of dialogs and morphosyntactic analysis, to semantic and dialog acts annotation.

    The LUNA project will be presented at the 2007 IEEE Automatic Speech Recognition and Understanding Workshop. Furthermore, Prof. Renato De Mori, technical manager of LUNA project, made one of the keynote speeches and Giuseppe Riccardi, one of the lead scientists of the consortium, was invited to a panel discussion on Spoken Language Research Challenges.
